Is the weather keeping you inside this week? Is it blazing hot out, downpouring, or is there a blizzard outside? Grab some canvas and some paint and come paint some chickens with me!
For this class, we will paint a portrait of three young chickens in acrylic. For this project you will need:
- a canvas, I will be using a round stretched canvas. Any size is fine, but I will be working small (similar in size to a 6×8″ canvas)
- acrylic paint in these colors
- Yellow Ocher
- Cadmium Yellow Hue
- Phthalo Blue
- Brilliant Red
- Titanium White
- Paynes Gray
- Ivory Black
- You may also find a green and a brown (burnt umber) helpful
- Brushes in various sizes, large flat, small round, medium-small filbert, and a small detail brush
- water
- rag
- reference photo (attached)
Helpful but not necessary:
- Easel
- additional brushes
- brush soap
