A Book to Help Your Toddler Potty Train

Potty training is one of the less-than-fun parts of parenting. But what if I told you that I had a book that might help? That’s right! Read on to learn more.

I have been a parent for over seven years now and one thing I know for sure is, very few parents enjoy the process of teaching their child to use the toilet. It’s a necessary process but often one fraught with frustration and a lot of cleaning up.

I can’t pretend to know the answer to magically potty train a child, it’s been different for each of my children. However, reading books about it definitely helps them to keep it in mind! With that piece of knowledge, and the ability to draw my child’s favorite stuffed animal wearing a pair of underwear, I set out to write a book to encourage my child to pursue toilet independence.

Puppy Goes Potty is my first complete digital work. I chose digital illustration for a few reasons. First, I wanted to practice my digital illustration skills and gain greater familiarity with my digital art app. Second, I was rationing my watercolor paper for another children’s book that will be released very soon. Lastly, digitally illustrating Puppy Goes Potty would mean that I could take my work anywhere! I hardly took this project out of my home, but at least I knew I had the possibility.

As with ABC, I published this book via Amazon’s KDP program. I love that it is completely free and user-friendly. This also means that any of my published works are almost immediately available to the public. In fact, once published, anyone who orders via Amazon is likely to get their copy before I receive my first author copy! All of my books published via Amazon are easy to find simply by viewing my author page.
